Expert Witness Requests

I receive many requests to serve as an expert witness. I am happy to help, as time permits:

At the moment, I am only working on cases of violence against women in Honduras.
I do not charge fees, and work only on a pro bono basis.
I focus on cases of women seeking asylum and protection in cases of domestic abuse, sometimes in the context of gang violence.
I cannot provide live testimony (in court or telephonically) due to time constraints.
I need at least three weeks of lead time for requests, and one week of lead time on finalized documents before the hearing date.
If you would like assistance with other types of cases, I would be happy to recommend other people.

A good resource for finding expert witnesses is the Hastings Law School Center for Gender and Refugee Studies Expert Witness Database

Thank you for your service to those seeking asylum. This is important work!
